International Membrane Biophysics Meeting 2024

The theme of this international meeting is "From Model to Cellular Membranes", and we expect to bring together about 80 established and young scientists from Europe and overseas in an inspiring environment of scientific exchange and discussion. We look forward to seeing you in Drübeck.

    Abstracts for contributed talks and poster presentations can be submitted within the registration process.

    Registration to the International Membrane Biophysics Meeting "From Model to Cellular Membranes" with the focus on Molecular Biophysics is possible exclusively by completing the online registration form. After completing the form you will receive an automatic registration confirmation acknowledging your submission. Participants will receive a final registration confirmation together with the invoice containing bank details in due time.

    Abstract submission is part of the registration procedure. Please specify in the online registration form, whether you would like for your abstract to be considered for an oral presentation. 

    Because the number of participants is limited, early registration is highly recommended!

    Registration fee includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks and great scientific sessions from 06 to 08 May 2024.

    Important: There is limited rooming. Single rooms will go on a first come first serve basis. For double rooms, please specify in the comments section in the registration form if you have a specific roommate preference.

    By tradition, our meeting features music. A piano is available. Please bring your instrument and sheet music. During registration, you are invited to indicate if you consider bringing an instrument, playing, singing with others. We can help you connect. Remember, music connects and our meeting is about science and connection.

    By plane:

    You can fly to Frankfurt, Hannover or Leipzig and take the train and bus towards Drübeck.

    By train:

    Deutsche Bahn also includes information about the bus.

    Drübeck has 2 busstops that are euqually close to the monastery: Drübeck Ost and Drübeck West.

    By car:

    Head towards Wernigerode from the east or to Ilsenburg (Harz) from the west. Drübeck is situated in between these two small towns.
